At Anime Drive, your privacy is fundamental to our core design. We believe that entertainment should not come at the expense of your personal data. Anime Drive requires no registration, no login credentials, no phone numbers, and no credit card details.

2. Information We Store Locally

Anime Drive stores all personal preference data strictly on your local device using encrypted local storage (Hive / SharedPreferences). This includes:

  • Watchlist: The anime titles you choose to bookmark.
  • Playback Progress: The exact minute and second of episodes you have watched, allowing seamless resume.
  • Downloaded Files: Anime episodes downloaded to your device storage for offline playback.
  • Otaku Profile: Custom username and avatar selected within the app.

* None of this information is sent to or stored on our external servers. Clearing app data or uninstalling the app permanently erases this local data.

3. Android Device Permissions

Anime Drive requests only the minimum essential Android permissions needed to function:

INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE Required to fetch episode catalog data and stream video streams.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE Required solely to save requested episodes to your Downloads folder and show progress notifications.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+) Required to display download progress (Pause, Resume, Finished).

4. Third-Party CDNs & Analytics

To maintain smooth server uptime and optimize CDN video speed, our app connects to external video storage servers when streaming. These third-party services operate under their respective independent privacy terms. We do not use intrusive advertising networks (such as tracking SDKs) in our video player.
